Committed property lawyer
Jip specialises in property law, particularly in the area of construction law, civil construction law and disputes relating to the purchase and sale of immovable property. He gives advice and conducts legal proceedings about matters such as structural defects, contract variations, the interpretation of contracting agreements and corresponding standard or other terms and conditions (such as UAV, UAV-GC and AVA) and the liability of construction consultants (DNR). Jip also assists clients in disputes about actual and legal defects in property transactions.
Jip is a committed representative of various professional parties in the property sector, such as commissioning parties, contractors, investors and property developers. His clients value him because of his good communication skills and his perseverance.
Career
After Jip had obtained his master’s degree certificate in Business Law at Tilburg University, he started working at a law firm in Noord-Brabant in 2015. He started his career with a general and business law practice, but his attention was quickly drawn to property law. From that time onwards, Jip mainly dealt with liability upon the purchase and sale of immovable property, construction law and civil construction law, and associated legal issues. Jip joined Law&Pepper Advocaten in 2024.
Specialisation
In 2022, Jip successfully completed the postgraduate Grotius Academy specialist course in Immovable Property.
Register of practice areas
In the register of practice areas of the Netherlands Bar Association, Jip has registered the practice areas of construction law and lease law. To maintain this registration, according to the standards of the Netherlands Bar Association he must obtain ten training points in each registered practice area every calendar year.
